KCCU scholarship application

things to know...

  • Attend an accredited community college or university within Michigan or be working towards a certification or degree program in the trades at a state supported community college or institution.
  • Scholarships are available to traditional and non-traditional students.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ credit hours) for the Fall 2025 semester.
  • Send KCCU proof of full time status after enrollment by August 15, 2025.
  • Be a member of KCCU and their account must be in good standing.
  • Demonstrate academic achievement and community involvement.
  • KCCU employees, board members, their immediate family, or members of the same household (whether related or not) are ineligible for the KCCU Scholarship.
  • Complete KCCU Scholarship application package including:
    • completed online form.
    • photo submission.
    • and video submission or essay.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Every qualified candidate will be considered and evaluated on the individual’s demonstration of good character, citizenship, and leadership.

Applicant submission must state their name and answer the following questions:

  • Explain your future educational plans.
  • How would this scholarship impact you?
  • Why do you believe you are the best candidate for the KCCU scholarship?

Video submission guidelines

  • Video length should be 1.5-2 minutes
  • File size should not exceed 5GB
  • Acceptable file formats: mpeg, mov, or mp4
